Watch Cleaning & Cosmetic Refresh
External cleaning of the case, bracelet, and lug area using mild solvents and bench brushes. Accumulated residue removed from between links, select surfaces polished where agreed, and acrylic crystals lightly buffed. Suited to daily-wear pieces that have lost their freshness.

Complete Calibre Overhaul
A full overhaul programme for owners who wish to reset the service interval of a mechanical wristwatch. Full disassembly, multi-stage cleaning bath, replacement of fatigued parts, calibre-appropriate lubrication, timing adjustment across multiple positions, and a written report.

Vintage Bracelet Repair
For owners of vintage steel bracelets where pin separation, link wear, or clasp fatigue make daily wear uncomfortable. Pins replaced with appropriate diameters, stretched links secured, clasp components refitted or renewed. Ultrasonic cleaning and brushed surface restoration along original lines.

At the Counter
What is the process for dropping off a watch?
Pieces are received at the studio during opening hours — Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00. An intake card is filled in describing the piece and the reason for the visit, and a written estimate is prepared before any bench work begins. You are welcome to call ahead if you wish to discuss the piece before your visit.
How long does an overhaul typically take?
A complete calibre overhaul is usually scheduled over four to six weeks, depending on whether any parts require sourcing. Cosmetic refreshes and bracelet work are generally completed within three to seven working days. The turnaround window is confirmed at intake based on current bench load.
Do you work on quartz watches as well?
The studio's calibre overhaul programme is designed for mechanical wristwatches. Cosmetic refresh and vintage bracelet repair services can be applied to quartz pieces where the work is external only. Please enquire about your specific piece if you are unsure.
What does the overhaul price include?
The RM 980 overhaul price covers the full bench process: disassembly, multi-stage cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, and timing adjustment on the calibration stand. Replacement of fatigued components such as the mainspring is included where required. If additional parts outside the standard scope are needed, this is discussed and agreed upon before any extra expenditure is made.
How do I know the work carried out on my watch?
Overhaul work includes a written report describing the components inspected, any parts renewed, and timing measurements recorded before collection. This document stays with the owner as a service record for the piece.
Is it possible to send a watch by post?
The studio accepts pieces by registered post or courier with tracking. Please contact the bench first so that intake can be arranged and the piece expected. Packaging guidance is provided on request. The studio is not responsible for transit damage occurring before the piece reaches the bench.
